Astrology is the study of the stars, the study of light and energy. Their beauty and wonder is eternal. The geometric alignment of this perfectly balanced system is expanding infinitely. Everything learned is a revelation of place in time and space and relationship with all. 

 

The positions of the fixed stars and constellations are important. Each degree holds special meaning and the proximity and magnitude of the fixed stars brings vital interpretation to the 360 degrees of the zodiac and the planetary positions. The few books written on the fixed stars are sourced from the observations of ancient astrologers.  

 

Every place on Earth has built upon their connection with the living stars above and I draw from the many traditions in my understanding of this divine science. The nakshatras of the Vedas are foundational and bring a deeper understanding of the meaning of the constellations. Arabic astrological calculations reveal important points in the horoscope. Feng shui is the direction and orientation of the elements that bring balance, harmonising spiritual forces with the individual in the surrounding environment. 

 

The rediscovery of the ancient knowledge in Babylonian astrology by Rumen Kolev, and of the heliacal phases of the planets is one of the most fascinating developments in astrology today. This ancient astrology was, and is a true connection through visual observation. The visibility of planets and their position in relation to the Sun within their heliacal cycle reveals valuable information on the expression of the planets in our experience.

 

The past two decades have seen the recovery of previously untranslated manuscripts and the rise of modern Hellenistic and Babylonian astrology. The research, publication and teachings of these ancient texts has reconnected us to the ancestral wisdom of the stars.
